Is it crazy to pay for a professional detail on a ten year old Accord?
My 2014 Accord has been the most reliable thing I've ever owned but the paint is starting to look really tired, it's that dark grey metallic and the roof has that cloudy oxidation starting to happen and the hood has about a million little stone chips from all the highway driving between Abu Dhabi and Dubai over the years. A friend of mine keeps telling me I should just trade it in for something newer but honestly the thing runs perfectly and I'd rather keep it a while longer, just want it to not look like a beater when I pull up to client meetings. I started looking into whether it's even worth doing paint correction on a car that's probably worth less than fifteen grand at this point and I found a place that actually does Honda detailing, the link was something like https:www.exoticcarcare.ae/honda-detailing-abu-dhabi and it got me thinking maybe I'm not completely crazy for wanting to spruce it up instead of just running it into the ground. Has anyone on here actually invested in a proper ceramic coating or paint correction on an older daily driver and felt like it was money well spent, or did you regret not just saving the cash for the next car? I'm torn because I know it won't add resale value but it might make me hate looking at it in the parking lot a lot less.
