Anyone else flinch when the brake wear light comes on in a Vantage? Because I just did
So I'm cruising down the Corniche last night windows down listening to that V8 do its thing and suddenly the little yellow brake wear indicator pops up on the dash and I swear my heart rate tripled because the last time I ignored something like that on a British car it turned into a four week saga waiting for parts to clear customs. It's a 2019 Vantage and I knew the pads were getting down there based on the mileage but I kept putting it off thinking I'd handle it when the weather cooled down a bit but of course the car had other plans. I started digging around online trying to find a place that actually knows how to lift these things without cracking the carbon skirts and that's when I realized I should probably just book your car service appointment now before I end up on a flatbed during rush hour. I saw that alzaabiautocare handles Aston stuff and honestly the idea of not having to explain to a service advisor what a Vantage is sounds like a massive relief. I'm just hoping the rotors are still within spec because I really don't want to see that line item on the invoice if I can avoid it. Anyone else done brakes on theirs recently and have a ballpark on what the wait time for parts was like here in Abu Dhabi?
